The Colorado Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management is hosting a National Emergency Management Basic Academy (NEMBA) program at our main office in Centennial, Colorado. The academy begins in February 2023, however, the registration deadline is December 1, 2022.

The Colorado Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (DHSEM) announces the availability of funds through the School Security Disbursement (SSD) Grant Program created by the Colorado State Legislature's HB22-1120. The SSD Grant Program provides funding to local education providers and eligible nonprofit organizations to use for the purpose of improving security within public schools.

Colorado DHSEM is excited to announce the decision to deliver the Colorado Academy for Professional Emergency Managers (CAPEM) beginning in November of 2022 to run three (3) days every other month (12 days in total) and culminate with a final capstone presentation and completion ceremony in May of 2023.
