The Colorado Department of Public Safety Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management announces a public hearing to adopt emergency rules 8 CCR 1507-47 Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) as amended permanent rules. The hearing will be held virtually on March 22, 2024 at 10 a.m. MST using the Google Meet platform. Emergency rules were signed and adopted on January 23, 2024 by DHSEM Director Kevin Klein, amending permanent rules already in place effective September 30, 2023. In mid-fiscal year 23-24, the state legislature allocated additional money to the grant fund for distribution to existing program applicants in the regular application cycle within the remainder of the fiscal year.
The amended emergency rules set forth provisions for eligibility and timeframes for any additional funding allocated to the NSGP fund within a fiscal year. The amended rules also corrected minor formatting, grammatical and numerical errors to align better with statute and for clarity.
