Training and Exercise Program

Overview

The integrated preparedness (IP) Section (formerly referred to as training and exercise) primarily focuses on supporting, coordinating and facilitating integrated preparedness planning efforts at the local and all-hazards regional level.  The IP team members are subject matter experts in the planning process and in training and exercise opportunities which can be resourced with quality educational programs and instructors.  Once a plan is finalized, our team can assist with realistic, adaptive and competency-based training and comprehensive exercise development and support.

Mission

Build capability through training and exercise based on National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) and Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) fundamentals.

Vision

Colorado stakeholders have the appropriate skills and knowledge to properly respond to an all-hazards event.
