Urgent Incident Response Fund

House Bill 23-1270 created the Urgent Incident Response Fund.  The purpose of the fund is to reimburse certain governmental entities for the costs of responding to urgent incidents. 

After reimbursing a state agency or local government for the costs of responding to an urgent incident, the Colorado Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management shall publish, at minimum, the following information on our website:

  • State agency or local government receiving the reimbursement
  • Amount of the reimbursement
  • Purpose for which the state agency or local government will use the reimbursement

Encumbered Funds

  • Colorado Office of Preparedness: $585,451 encumbered and $87,518.60 reimbursed for humanitarian migrant operations.
