State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) Status
- Respone Level 3: State EOC Activated with DHSEM Staff
- Recovery Level 1: State Recovery Task Force Activated
SEOC is operational Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Possible Xcel Public Safety Power Shutoff Starting Wednesday, December 17
DHSEM and SEOC staff are closely monitoring the high wind event coming later this week through daily coordination with NWS Boulder Forecast Office, Xcel and county emergency managers. Updates will be shared on our X.com/COEmergency and Facebook.com/COEmergency accounts.
Xcel posted the following announcement on their social media accounts this morning, "We are preparing for a strong wind event in Colorado and may need to conduct a targeted Public Safety Power Shutoff along the Front Range as a public safety measure to reduce wildfire risk on Dec. 17 beginning at 12 noon."
DHSEM continues to provide direct support to western Colorado due to flooding and Rio Blanco County following the Lee and Elk Fires.
