State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) Status
- Response Level 2: State EOC Activated with DHSEM Staff and Emergency Support Functions
- Recovery Level 1: State Recovery Task Force Activated
SEOC is operational daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The SEOC will conduct daily coordination calls through the weekend, including Dec. 20 and 21.
Xcel Public Safety Power Shutoff and High Wind Event on Friday, December 19
DHSEM and SEOC staff are closely monitoring another high wind event in the weather forecast for Friday, December 19 with daily coordination with NWS Boulder Forecast Office, Xcel and county emergency managers. Updates will be shared on our X.com/COEmergency and Facebook.com/COEmergency accounts.

High Wind Information Map
DHSEM continues to update this High Wind Information Map with charging center, shelter and emergency operations center status.
DHSEM and the Colorado SEOC continue to be activated due to a High Wind Event. SEOC is monitoring for support and resource needs due to impacts of the wind, conducting coordination calls with local EOCs, NWS, Xcel, CREA and state agencies.
Current support requests include:

▪️Traffic Impacts: Road Closures, Traffic Lights Down (CDOT securing generators for busy intersections to reduce potential crashes).
▪️Response to Wildfire - new fire start in Park County

▪️Freezer for Food Storage
▪️Digital Trunked Radio Tower Coverage: Generators, Refueling, Bringing Back Online with Commercial Power Down

▪️Health and Care Facilities: Transport Patients and Secure Back Up Power
▪️Ensure Notifications and Updates to Schools, Critical Infrastructure Partners

DHSEM continues to provide direct support to western Colorado due to flooding and Rio Blanco County following the Lee and Elk Fires.
