- Recovery Level 1: State Recovery Task Force Activated

The Colorado SEOC is supporting the Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA) due to an increase in Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI). Governor Primavaera, as Acting Governor, issued a verbal disaster declaration for avian flu outbreak.

DHSEM continues to provide direct support to western Colorado due to flooding and Rio Blanco County following the Lee and Elk Fires. On January 16 Governor Polis submitted an appeal for major disaster declarations denied in December.
