State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) Status 

  • Response Level 3: State EOC Activated with DHSEM Staff
  • Recovery Level 1: State Recovery Task Force Activated

SEOC is operational Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  

Incident and Event Support 

Potential Public Safety Power Shutoffs or Enhanced Powerline Safety Settings

Xcel Colorado: We are preparing for a potential extreme fire weather event in Colorado and are evaluating conducting a targeted Public Safety Power Shutoff for a limited number of customers in Larimer and Weld counties, including in parts of Fort Collins and nearby communities to the north and west, as a public safety measure to reduce wildfire risk on Jan. 16 beginning around 7 a.m. Customers are encouraged to review the outage map: https://xcelener.gy/3NKwfVl 

Y-W Electric:  Y-W Electric Association is placing our electric system into Enhanced Powerline Safety Settings for Thursday and Friday.

Mountain View REA: Moved to one shot safety procedures for Friday  

Poudre Valley REA: Activated Enhanced Powerline Safety Settings.

DHSEM continues to provide direct support to western Colorado due to flooding and Rio Blanco County following the Lee and Elk Fires.  On Dec. 20, the State of Colorado was notified that both disaster declaration requests were denied.
