2023 Preventing Identity-Based Violence Grant Program Awards Announced

DHSEM announced the awards of the State of Colorado's legislature allocated $923,006 for the 2023 Preventing Identity-Based Violence (PIBV) Grant Program.  A community-based nonprofit, one law enforcement agency and one education entity partnering with community-based nonprofits were selected to receive funding as directed by HB22-1234.  Thank you to all of those who applied for the 2023 PIBV Grant Program. 

Everyone is eligible to apply again next year. The funding announcement for the 2024 PIBV Grant Program will be in the first calendar quarter of 2024.  

Recipient Selection

  • Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office: $223,325.00 (partnering with Encounter Church)
  • Castle Rock Pride: $22,450.00
  • Northeastern Junior College: $35,767.60 (partnering with Independence Institute)
