Here is a new grant announcement through School Access for Emergency Response.
The Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management is happy to announce the availability of funds through the School Access For Emergency Response (SAFER) Grant Program created by the Colorado State Legislature's SB18-158.The SAFER Program provides funding for interoperable communication hardware, software, equipment maintenance, and training to allow for seamless communications between existing school communications systems and first responder communications systems.
Application and Review Process
All eligible applications received by the due date of May 11, 2020will be reviewed by the Grant Selection Committee (GSC). GSC members will review submitted applications each week throughout the application period to stay on track with the time table put forth in the legislation, so please submit your application as soon as possible. Please see the application for complete instructions on submitting your application.
Technical Assistance
DHSEM-SER will hold two technical assistance calls to allow applicants to ask questions and get help with their applications. They will be held on April 16, 2020,at 9:30 a.m. and April 23, 2020,at 10:30 a.m. Attendance is not required. Please feel free to forward this information and the technical assistance call invitations to whoever in your organization will be responsible for applying.
