Due to continued SEOC activations and DHSEM staff reassignments, we have come to the difficult decision not to host the Basic Academy this year. As with the 2023 Colorado Academy of Professional Emergency Managers, the Basic Academy will remain on the Integrated Preparedness Plan with the intent to deliver in 2024.
The option to attend the National Emergency Management Basic Academy on campus at the Emergency Management Institute remains available. EMI also has an online option to attend this academy. Information on both of these options can be found at EMI National Emergency Management Basic Academy.
