Centennial, Colo. (Feb. 25, 2025) - The Colorado Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (DHSEM) names Trevor Denney as the division’s new director for the Office of Emergency Management. Denney was the interim director for several months.
“I am pleased to announce Trevor as our new OEM Director. Trevor’s experience spans a range of emergency management activities, from planning and preparedness to response and recovery. He has experience working closely with local, state, tribal and federal agencies, ensuring their needs are met while maintaining integrity and trust in DHSEM,” said DHSEM Division Director Kevin Klein.
Denney has worked for or on behalf of the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management since the division was formed in July 2012 during the Waldo Canyon Fire, High Park Fire and the aftermath.
