Governor Polis submitted appeals to President Trump, who denied Colorado’s two Major Disaster Declaration requests for the Elk and Lee Fires, and the flooding in Western Colorado.

DHSEM staff in the State Emergency Operations Center and the Colorado Information Analysis Center (CIAC), along with other CDPS agencies, are currently monitoring several school lockdowns related to school threats. There have been no requests for state assistance at this time.
