Denver, CO – The Colorado Information Analysis Center (CIAC), within the Colorado Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, celebrated the sixth anniversary of partnering with the Colorado Attorney General Office's Safe2Tell program. A CIAC operational and analytical team receives and responds to every Safe2Tell report submitted each day by phone, website or mobile app. Since March 25, 2019, the CIAC’s Safe2Tell team has handled more than 132,000 reports, representing 68 percent of all reports received by the program since its inception.
Centennial, Colo. (Feb. 25, 2025) - The Colorado Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (DHSEM) names Trevor Denney as the division’s new director for the Office of Emergency Management. Denney was the interim director for several months.
DHSEM is finalizing the system for accepting the registration and initial fees enacted under Senate Bill 24-151 as the Colorado Telecommunications Security Registration Program. The program rules were signed and approved on January 15, 2025.

DHSEM is pleased to announce the awards for the State of Colorado's Legislature allocated $923,006 for the 2024 Preventing Identity-Based Violence (PIBV) Grant Program. Twelve recipients were selected to receive funding as directed by HB22-1234.

Everyone is eligible to apply again next year. The funding announcement for the 2025 PIBV Grant Program will be in the first calendar quarter of 2025.
